SEATTLE — The burger Seattleites love for its reliable taste — with a chocolate shake — landed on a national list of the best cheesburgers in America.
Up against some of the leading burger joints from New York to San Francisco, Dick's Drive-In came in at spot No. 13 on a list by The Daily Meal.
Seattle's beloved six drive-ins have served juicy burgers and hand-cut fries since 1954.
"The owners know that if it ain't broke, don't fix it," The Daily Meal wrote. "The Double Deluxe an ideal burger specimen: two patties, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle relish, on a soft, squishy bun, sold for a whopping $2.90. Want onions? That'll cost you an extra 5 cents, please."
Dicks' fries were named second best in the country earlier this year.
