NOW PLAYING ABOVE

SEATTLE — The driver of a car that slammed into a building in Seattle's Northgate neighborhood ran away after the crash.

The Granite Curling Club at 1440 North 128th Street now has a gaping hole.

The driver of an Oldsmobile appeared to have lost control on 128th Street, jumped the curb and sheared off the corner of the building at 2:30 a.m. on Monday. The car then launched off a three-foot retaining wall and landed in the parking lot.

Police said the driver, a 21 year-old man, then got out and ran away.

A passenger, who remained in the car, had minor injuries.
