2 women found dead in Tacoma home were shot in head, police say

TACOMA, Wash. — The two women found dead in their Tacoma home early Sunday were shot in the head, police said.

Authorities did not provide a motive or say if they have any suspects, but the deaths are being investigated as homicides.

A man called 911 around 4 a.m. Sunday to report that after he had arrived home, he found his two roommates unresponsive.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner has identified the victims as 31-year-old Jonna Hart, of Tacoma, and 34-year-old Megan Re, of Tacoma.

The man tried life-saving measures while medics responded to the house, located in the 1000 block of Pierce Street.

The women were declared dead on scene by the Tacoma Fire Department.

Police are investigating.
