3 injured after car strikes tree in Lacey

LACEY, Wash. — Three people were injured after a car struck a tree Saturday evening in Lacey.

The single-car crash occurred on Willamette Drive Northeast at 31st Avenue Northeast.

Lacey firefighters said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a tree.

The victims had to be extricated but first responders did not say how serious the injuries were.

All three victims were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital.

It is not known what led to the crash.

Police closed Willamette Dr. NE to investigate.
