Four people died Sunday afternoon after a plane crashed in Girdwood, Alaska, said officials with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Officials with the FAA said the crash happened on Goat Mountain.
According to the FAA's website, the Piper PA-22 aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances after takeoff.
Three passengers and a flight crew member died in the crash, said FAA officials.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
