ENUMCLAW, Wash. — Investigators with Washington State Patrol say "speed" and "inattention" caused a crash that critically injured a 4-year-old child in Enumclaw on Monday.
Guillermo Silveria is fighting for his life after being flown to Harborview Medical Center.
His mother, Kassandra Silveria, spoke only to KIRO 7 about the crash. Her son is in bad shape she fears he won't survive.

"Since the day he was born we spent every day together," she said in tears, "He was so sweet. He was my best friend."
Kassandra Silveria and her son were driving down Highway 169 in Enumclaw Monday morning when they slowed down to make a left turn onto SE 383rd Street, according to WSP. An accident report says, a woman driving a red Subaru Forester did not stop and crashed into the family's car, causing it to spin out into oncoming traffic.
Silveria's car hit a dump truck in the other lane. Her son in the backseat bore the brunt of the crash.
Guillermo had just started preschool three days ago, according to Amy Silveria, the child's grandmother.
"I took one look at the car and I almost dropped," she says, "he was so excited to start kindergarten next year."
WSP says charges are pending against the driver who hit the family.
