6 arrested for property destruction during protest in Seattle

SEATTLE — Six people were arrested and police are still investigating after a group of protesters damaged business windows overnight in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood.

Police said they began receiving reports that a group of protesters were damaging property during a march from Cal Anderson Park at around 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

Officers caught up with the group near 7th Avenue and Madison Street where they were smashing windows.

Police said eight businesses were damaged.

Two of the people arrested were booked into the King County Jail. The other four were interviewed and released, pending further charges.
