ABERDEEN, Wash. — Three students were taken to a hospital after a crash involving a bus early Friday morning, an Aberdeen School District official said.
Thirty-two students were on a school bus headed to Miller Junior High School when a car crashed into it.
The crash happened at Boone and Harriman streets around 7:30 a.m.
Two students were taken by ambulance and the third by a parent. Students who were not severely hurt were taken to school on another bus, and they were checked out by the school nurse.
The driver of the car was also injured.
"I am pleased with the prompt and professional response from our police and paramedics, along with district staff," Aberdeen Schools Superintendent Alicia Henderson said.
The bus driver was not injured, and the Aberdeen Police Department is investigating.
