SEATTLE — More than 40 flights are canceled at Sea-Tac Airport early Thursday.
The flights are both arrivals and departures. Others are delayed.
As of 6 a.m., 23 departures and 26 arrivals are canceled between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, more than 80 flights were canceled. Most were Alaska Airlines flights.
The spokeswoman for Alaska also said “several” deicing trucks broke down, and deicing at the gate-- a newer procedure at SeaTac-- did not go smoothly.
The Seattle-based carrier says its adding more staff to de-ice planes, and would have more trucks on hand to do the job Thursday.
Passengers on all airlines should check their flight status.
