A dead body was found on the banks of the Skykomish River the morning of New Year’s Day, police said.
Police said the body is believed to be a 44-year-old homeless man who lived along the river for several years.
A relative of the man found the body around 10 a.m. Monday, downstream of Big Eddy Park.
The relative went looking for the man after he hadn’t been heard from in several days.
Police said a death investigation will work to determine the cause and manner of death, as well as confirm the identity.
