Driver caught going 104 miles per hour near Lakewood has been fined nearly $1K

Washington State Patrol fined a driver who was going well over the speed limit Thursday.

Troopers said the driver was going about 104 miles per hour on Interstate 5 near Lakewood.

When the driver was pulled over, troopers learned that the driver was also operating a vehicle with no car insurance.

Troopers gave the driver a speeding ticket with a fine of $991 for speeding and driving without insurance.
