SHORELINE, Wash. — Firefighters are battling flames at the Fircrest School property in Shoreline.
The fire started at about 9 a.m. at the building at 155th Street and 15th Avenue Northeast.
The Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center houses about 200 people with mental disabilities.
The laundry facility is the building that caught fire. Buildings have been evacuated and everyone is accounted for.
Firefighters were called to what was reported as a dryer fire, but the flames got out of control and spread to the walls.
The fire is being fought defensively from the outside. Crews are attacking the fire from all sides to keep it from spreading further.
No injuries were reported.
