CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — A fire engulfed a disabled motorhome Friday on State Route 97 near milepost 174 in Chelan County.
Photos show the fire ripping through the motorhome, shooting in the air and destroying it.
The fire caused troopers to close the road in both directions until it was extinguished.
Washington State Patrol Trooper John Bryant said firefighters kept the fire from spreading to nearby trees.
The road was closed for awhile but was eventually reopened to allow for alternating traffic to get by. It was fully reopened after several hours.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
