KENT, Wash. — Crews say a fire started in a semi-truck and then spread to a home Sunday.
The truck was parked in front of a home on 41st Avenue South near Military Road South in Kent when neighbors noticed the fire and called 911 at 11 p.m.
When the first fire crews arrived, they found the semi-truck engulfed in fire and items burning in the garage of the two-story home.
Firefighters worked for about an hour to fully extinguish the fire.
No one was found in the home during two searches.
The homeowner later arrived and confirmed that everyone was away from the house at the time of the fire.
Firefighters said they believe a mechanical failure in the truck led to the fire.
