Man crashes Lexus into wall during police pursuit

SEATTLE, Wash. — A man crashed his car into a wall Saturday while attempting to flee from Seattle police.

According to police, the man was connected to a shooting incident in Judkins Park, about a mile from where the man crashed his car.

Police arrested the man near Beacon Street and 14th Avenue South.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, authorities said. Witnesses said they heard up to 16 shots during the shooting.

Neighbors said they don't know who the man was intending to shoot.

KIRO 7 talked with the man’s mother, who said her son is in his 20s. He had just received the Lexus as a gift for doing well.

After attempting to flee, the man was subdued by a K-9 officer.

The man was booked into the King County Jail. Police said they will interview him to find out more information about the shooting.
