SEATTLE — A man with both felony and fugitive warrants was arrested after Seattle police recovered a stolen car, credit cards, jewelry and large amounts of cash and drugs.
Seattle officers were contacted by Mercer Island police who said they tracked a stolen Volvo to the 1700 block of Lakeview Boulevard East in Capitol Hill.
Officers went to the address and found four suspects moving items from the stolen car into a BMW.
One of the suspects, a 33-year-old man, fled up a staircase. An officer and K-9 searched for the man and found him in the yard of a house in the 1800 block of Broadway East.

The man was carrying meth, heroin, $11,000 in a fanny pack, a bag of 15-20 credit cards in different names and jewelry, according to a blotter post.
Police also determined that he was wanted on a felony warrant out of Snohomish County and a fugitive warrant in Colorado.
At the original scene with the stolen Volvo and BMW, officers found two sets of stolen license plates and interviewed another man and two women.
Using information from those interviews, police served a warrant at the hotel room of the 33-year-old man where officers found stolen passports, legal documents, clothes, electronics, cash and jewelry, the blotter post said.
The Seattle Police Department and the Mercer Island Police Department are continuing to investigate.
