MERCER ISLAND, Wash. — A home on Mercer Island near Seattle is a house divided.
"The Crimson Tide's going to come out on top," 22-year-old Sean Casey told KIRO 7 earlier this week.
"I have a lot of faith in my Dawgs," 19-year old Piper Casey added.
Sean is a senior at the University of Alabama.
His sister is a freshman at the University of Washington. "He thinks he's a lot better than we are with the big football school," Piper said of her brother.
Sean grew up in a Husky family.
His dad, Patrick Casey, went to college back east but his mom, Kelly Kieffer Casey, graduated from UW and once worked there. "I've been loving the Huskies since the 80s when I went there," Kelly said.
Sean decided to go all the way to Tuscaloosa after graduating from Mercer Island High School in 2013. "I just wanted to get out and have a new experience in a different part of the country."
His little sister applied to Alabama and was accepted, but "I chose not to go there because we're going to win," Piper quipped.
During the Peach Bowl, Sean and Piper will be rooting against each other for the first time in their lives.
The entire Casey family has attended many home games at both the University of Washington and the University of Alabama.
They will all attend the Dec. 31 battle between the two schools in Atlanta.
Sean will sit with his fraternity brothers on the Alabama side, wearing crimson.

The rest of the family will be in the purple section.
"I will be sitting in the Washington section with an Alabama shirt on," dad Patrick told KIRO 7. "Sean has been going to Alabama for the last four years, so I feel I have more dollars invested in the Alabama side."
"Alabama's going to win," he added. "I have a number of friendly bets."
The youngest member of the family, Quinn Casey, is a freshman at Mercer Island High School and has not yet committed her loyalty. "I've been leaning toward Alabama because Sean's been going there longer, but I also think the Huskies might pull through," she said.
Despite the rivalry that will soon be on the national stage, the Casey home remains friendly.
"I am rooting for the Huskies, but I have been going to Alabama games," mom Kelly admitted. "I am an Alabama fan, and I do wear Alabama gear."
She added, "one of us is going to be a winner and a loser." But as the mother of students at both schools: "I'm OK!"
