SEATTLE — A bicycle carrying two adults hit the side of a Metro bus in Seattle's International District Saturday night, killing one of the bicyclists and seriously injuring the other.
The 41-year-old man and 37-year-old woman were taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Seattle fire officials said.
Police said Sunday the man was taken to Harborview but later died. The woman remains seriously injured.
The man and woman were riding together on a single bike at the time of the collision. Police said the bike crashed into the side of the Metro coach, near 5th Avenue South and South Jackson Street.
A Seattle police drug recognition expert tested the driver of the coach bus and found no signs of impairment.
