RENTON, Wash. — A man was killed when his car went off the road and burst into flames in Renton.
The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. Friday on when the driver lost control on eastbound SR 900 at about 171st Place and went into a ditch.
A passing driver saw the car burst into flames and called 911. The driver pulled a man from the car but he was already dead.
Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
SR 900 was closed at the crash scene for several hours but reopened at about 5:15 a.m.
