UPDATE: The suspect in a Bothell Amber Alert who police said kidnapped his 1-year-old son yesterday has turned himself in.
EARLIER STORY:
The 1-year-old who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been located at his grandmother's apartment in Bothell.
Bothell police tweeted that the boy was safe at about 4:15 a.m. Friday. The Amber Alert has been canceled, but the suspect in the abduction, the boy's father, is still at large.
Police said Thursday night that 23-year-old Terrance Lee-Hammond kidnapped his son, Jahvell Scott, from the boy’s mother at gunpoint.
Lee-Hammond is black, 130 pounds and is considered armed and dangerous. Police released a picture of both the suspect and his son.
Lee-Hammond drove away from the Heritage Park Apartments along NE 190th in a blue 1998 Toyota Corolla with WA license plate: BIH7899. One brake light is out.
Anyone who sees Lee-Hammond or the vehicle is asked to call 911.
