RENTON, Wash. — Officials with the Renton Fire Department say a man in his 20s, identified as Ahmed Sheikah, was shot in the back of the head and killed while riding a Metro bus Tuesday evening.

Metro says the shooting happened on Route 169. Other passengers were not injured.

A large number of police are responding to the shooting in Renton near South 21st and Talbot Road.
Members of the public were asked by Renton police to avoid the area if possible.
The man shot was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was initially in critical condition and where he later died.
Police say the only suspect is in custody.
Chopper 7 video from above showed the Metro bus surrounded by crime scene tape. Law enforcement could be seen investigating around the bus and surrounding roads.
