Police search for suspect after 2 teens shot in Columbia City

The search continues for a suspect or suspects involved in a shooting in Columbia City late Friday afternoon. According to authorities that were on scene in South Seattle, a between people in two cars leads to gunfire and a multi-car crash.
The incident started near the intersection of Southern Alaska and MLK Jr Way and ended at South Edmunds and MLK Jr. Way. The entire incident played out after 5:30 p.m. Friday, and shut down traffic near the area where a multi-vehicle crash happened.
The Seattle Police say the two victims were brought to Harborview Medical Center, and KIRO 7 learned they are 14 and 19 years old.
KIRO 7 did arrive on scene shortly after the incident and saw several damaged cars, two of them severely smashed, one with several visible bullet holes. KIRO 7 did speak to a man who said he was behind the wheel of one of the smashed cars, and he insisted that the entire thing could have been a lot worse, since he was just riding down MLK with his 23 month-old son in the backseat.
Vin Do said he was cruising down MLK when he felt the impact from behind, “I ride here…after that I hear BOOM!...I take hold of my kid, my kid lucky I said my kid die I think? Because my kid in the back.”
Do says he could hardly believe that he and his son were alive after being hit. His small SUV was smashed from behind, and Do say the collision or the gunfire that erupted earlier could have killed him or his son, “my kid is still alive, I so happy…I worry because I have one kid, one child I love him a lot.”
Seattle Police say people in two cars may have exchanged angry words somewhere near Alaska and MLK.
Those words lead to gunfire, and a car took off down MLK towards S Edmunds - witnesses say this all may have started around 5:30PM, right near the light rail station and a daycare. Charlie Courtney heard it and then came out to see what was happening, “all of a sudden me and my son here all of these gun shots, like pow, pow, pow, pow pow!”
Courtney says she had to come out and since incidents like the shooting are not common in the area from her perspective, “it's crazy I'm just glad me and my son got home like 30 mins before, because you don't hear nothing like this in this neighborhood.”
Seattle police say one vehicle involved in the shooting is still at large.
Vin Do cleaned out his car, and spoke to KIRO 7 after he was done, and insisted that he was thrilled he could go home to his child, “I feel lucky but I scared… I feel lucky but I feel very scared!”
Authorities did say that the two teens brought to Harborview here were listed in stable condition.
