A Seattle optometrist office is offering full refunds to its patients who had purchased solar eclipse glasses through the office after one of the vendors it uses was unable to verify the safety of the glasses.
Roosevelt Vision at 7001 Roosevelt Way Northeast had received 400 solar eclipse glasses.
Over the weekend, the office received information that one of the vendors was unable to verify the safety of 132 of the 400 glasses.
Roosevelt Vision had emailed its patients and said the glasses were stamped as “ISO Certified” but the office was unable to obtain data from its vendor proving that they were.
The office is recommending that patients do not use the eclipse glasses.
Anyone who purchased the product from Roosevelt Vision can get a full refund by calling the office at 206-527-2987 or email accountspayable@rvsmail.com.
