Washington State Department of Health is investigating an outbreak of Salmonella associated with Fadó in downtown Seattle.

Two people from separate from parties became ill after eating at the restaurant in mid-June.

They reported eating bacon cheeseburgers and french fries, according to the public health department.

Neither person required hospitalization.

Lab testing confirmed that the two people were infected with the same type of salmonella bacteria, called salmonella Thompson.

A public health field investigation of the restaurant on July 1 found several factors that could have contributed to the outbreak, including inadequate cleaning of equipment, inadequate handwashing and inadequate handwashing facilities.
