KENT, Wash. — Firefighters were called to a semitruck fire on southbound I-5 just south of Highway 516 about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday near Kent.
Three lanes of I-5 were blocked, Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said.
KIRO 7 talked to a witness who captured photos of large plumes of smoke and flames shooting from the semi’s cab.

Crews knocked down the fire shortly after 9 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
