TUKWILA, Wash. — Tukwila fire crews jumped into rescue mode when a car went into the Duwamish River Thursday evening.
Crews arrived after 6:30 p.m. in the area of the 12400 block of 42nd Avenue South to perform a shore-based dive, rescuers said.
Officials said the driver escaped to the embankment and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He was in stable condition.
