KENT, Wash. — Police are investigating after a woman was found dead in a wooded area near a Kent trail.
Kent police said they responded to a welfare check around 7:45 p.m. Saturday night on a trail near 24600 26th Place South.
The woman was found near the trail in the woods, unconscious and unresponsive with labored breathing, police said.
The woman died of her injuries, despite lifesaving efforts by first responders.
Detectives are investigating, gathering information from witnesses and evidence from the scene.
