A lieutenant from the Washington State Patrol Homeland Security Division was contacted by an 18-year-old woman at Colman Ferry Terminal this last weekend. The woman said she was a victim of human trafficking.
The victim told the lieutenant that she had managed to escape. She was connected with advocates who helped her find shelter and other resources.
The Washington State Patrol will continue to investigate.
For more resources on the potential signs of human trafficking, visit the attorney general's website.
