LYNNWOOD, Wash. — One person was killed in a crash on SR 99 in Lynnwood Monday night.
It happened near 156th Street Southwest at 11:30 p.m.
Police said a sedan entering southbound SR 99 from 40th Avenue West was struck by a truck that was also heading southbound on SR 99.
The driver of the sedan was not hurt, but the driver of the truck was killed. Both vehicles hit power poles.
The truck came to rest slightly off SR 99 on the west side of 156th. The power pole it hit was damaged at its base. Snohomish County PUD is working to repair or replace the pole.
At least one southbound lane of SR 99 is closed from 156th to 44th Avenue West while PUD crews work.
