SOUTH HILL, Wash. — A fire ripped through a home in South Hill at about 4:30 a.m. Friday.
Central Pierce firefighters were called to the area of 126th Avenue East and 136th Street East. They closed the north and south ends of 126th.
Crews said the family and pets were able to escape and reported no injuries.
About 5:55 a.m., crews said the fire was under control and they would be at the scene for several hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
