SEATTLE — A car fire backed up traffic and caused closures Wednesday evening along SB I-5.
The fire occurred near the Convention Center in downtown Seattle. It was extinguished by 4:45 p.m., but traffic remained backed up to Lake City Way at around 5:30 p.m.
At around 4:20 p.m., officials were responding to assist.
Firefighters with the Seattle Fire Dept. said the fire scene was under the Yesler overpass.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
