MAPLE HILL, Kan. — Five people were killed and another person was injured Sunday morning after a two-vehicle, head-on crash on a Kansas interstate, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred on a westbound lane of Interstate 70 near Maple Hill, WIBW reported.
According to troopers, at 6:30 a.m. a Ford F-150 was heading eastbound in a westbound lane of I-70 when it hit a white Ford Econoline van head-on, KSNT reported.

Four people in the van were killed, while the fifth passenger was critically injured and taken to an area hospital, according to WIBW. The driver of the F-150 was pronounced dead at the scene, the television station reported.
The names of the victims have not been released and the case remains under investigation, WDAF reported.
