SHERIDAN, Wyo. — A woman died Tuesday after falling off a cliff in Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, authorities said.
The woman, who was in her late 20s, fell off Steamboat Point, The Sheridan Press reported.
Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Levi Dominguez said his office received a report at around 5:50 a.m. MDT, the newspaper reported.

Emergency responders found the woman dead at about 7:15 a.m. MDT, according to The Associated Press.
In a statement, the sheriff’s office said it was unclear how the woman, who has not been identified, fell off the cliff, the Press reported. Dominguez said more information would be released after the woman’s family is notified, the newspaper reported.
Steamboat Point is located about 20 miles west of Sheridan. Hikers can reach the top of the cliff by a steep trail that is less than one mile long, according to the AP.
