SEATTLE — A rollover crash on northbound I-5 in South Seattle caused long delays during the Tuesday morning commute.
The one-car crash occurred about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday near Michigan Street, just south of Interstate 90. The three right lanes were blocked, but by 5:49 a.m., the crash had been pushed to the shoulder.
All lanes were back open by about 6:25 a.m.
Firefighters had to cut off the roof of the car to free two people who were trapped, but they were not seriously hurt.
The location is about two miles south of the West Seattle Bridge, and with the closure of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, the crash is causing long delays.
