It’s something “Dexter” fans have been demanding for seven long years: one more season after the show’s controversial series finale.

Fans will get their way next year.

“Entertainment Tonight” reports Showtime has ordered a 10-episode limited series.

Michael C. Hall will return as serial killer Dexter Morgan.

He will be reunited with the original showrunner Clyde Phillips.

Filming is scheduled to start in early 2021 with a potential premiere later that fall.

“Dexter” premiered in 2008 and featured Hall as a Miami blood-spatter analyst who moonlighted as a serial killer, taking out criminals he believed didn’t receive the justice they deserved.

The show’s final season aired in 2013 which many critics panned as one of the “worst finales of all time.”
