Gov. Jay Inslee issued updated guidance for bowling alleys, museums, agritourism and outdoor recreation in the state’s Safe Start reopening plans.
“We have worked with stakeholders for weeks and sometimes months to arrive at these guidelines. We continue to balance the need for activities that contribute to physical, mental, and emotional well-being with the steps needed to control the virus. Our ability to reopen depends on every Washingtonian doing their part to ensure fewer, shorter and safer interactions.” said Inslee.
Museums
Museums can start reopening on Aug. 22 in counties that are in phase 2 and up.
Some of the guidance for phase 2 include: museums may operate with 25% capacity, individual rooms must be monitored periodically to ensure they are not over 25% capacity, galleries must follow a one-way traffic flow, and no events are allowed.
For counties in phase 3, capacity is allowed at 50% and events are allowed but limited to current limits for social gatherings in phase 3.
