RENTON, Wash. — In the first few days, tens of thousands of ballots have been returned in King County.

On Tuesday afternoon, elections officials performed the county’s official logic and accuracy testing on ballot counting processing equipment at its headquarters on Grady Way in Renton.

Testing was done to ensure the integrity of the votes.

Tuesday marked two weeks until the presidential election.

The testing is a standard preelection procedure performed two weeks before Election Day. This will ensure the tabulation hardware and software functions properly and is accurately programmed for each election.

King County officials said the more voters that can get their ballots in early, the earlier they can get the results come election night.
