SEATTLE — Additional drive-thru flu shot clinics will open to the public Monday and last through the end of the month.
The Student Health Services Department of Seattle Public Schools partnered with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association to open clinics at several schools.
The clinics are open to adults and children who are 4 years old and older.
All insurance is accepted, but uninsured children and adults can also get a free flu shot, officials said.
An appointment on the SVNA website is required, and the clinics are open for people who walk up or a ride a bike.
“Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate,” said Samara Hoag, SPS health services manager. "Getting the flu shot helps protect those who are most at-risk for serious
complications from contracting the flu."
More than 10,000 people received their flu shot during the fist week of the campaign.
The last day of the campaign is Oct. 30. Click here for more information.
