The Seattle region has taken a beating with rain over the past month. This February has already slipped into the top six wettest in Seattle weather history, but how far away are we from number one?
KIRO 7 PinPoint Meteorologists report that the monthly total at Sea-Tac Airport stands at 8.06” coming into Monday. The record is 9.11” in February of 1961.
Today rain totals should be around 0.25” for most locations around Puget Sound on Monday, but .5” is still possible, mainly south and east of Seattle, according to KIRO 7 PinPoint Meteorologist Nick Allard.

KIRO 7 News followed how heavy rain has created problems in Western Washington – including landslides and sinkholes.
Mudslides created messes and traffic delays on Washington interstates last week, most notably on Interstate 90 and Interstate 5.

On Monday, a recycling truck in West Seattle was stuck in a sinkhole.
