12s at Renton's VMAC for Seahawks send-off

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

RENTON, Wash. — Four buses lined up outside the VMAC as Russell Wilson and company slowly made their way on for the trip to SeaTac Airport.

They didn't say anything as they walked by, these Seahawks just two days away from the NFC divisional playoff game.

But the Twelves lining 12 Seahawks Way had plenty to say about their favorite team.

“Twenty-nine, Thomas, love it," shouted Risa Anderson of Maple Valley, showing off her tee shirt. "And why? Because we're going to win the playoffs, that's why. We're gonna win. We are.  We've got this.  It's our year."

"It is our year," agreed her friend, Kelley Oliver of Ravensdale. "Positive. Because we're that good."

"I think we're going all the way," predicted Matthew Caldwell, who lives in a condo next to the VMAC. "You know what, I think we're going to have a little problem with old Cam and containing him.  But I think we win 24-13."

We spotted the voice of the Seahawks headed to Carolina, too.  And Steve Raible shares the 12s' optimism.

"I know these guys are ready to play," said Raible. "I mean they really are. They play well against these guys.  They play well on the road so they've got a lot going for them, the Seahawks do right now. But you still can't just go out there and throw your credentials on the field. You have to go out and play."

And 12s expect them to do just that. Next stop, Panthers country.

It has been a Blue Friday to remember.
