A nearly 7-foot sturgeon was found dead in Lake Washington Saturday.
John Johnson, whose waterfront home is south of Matthews beach, tied the fish to a post.
Johnson said he was worried that it would drift to the beach, scare children and repulse many with its rotting smell.

A biologist with the Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to examine the fish.
Sturgeon, which are bottom feeders, rarley surface here. The Fraser river in Canada and Columbia River have good populations.
