Beacon Hill double shooting turns fatal

Witnesses report hearing an argument and then gunfire.

SEATTLE — Just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Hanford Street in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood after neighbors heard gunfire in the area.

On scene officers found two men with gunshot wounds. One of the men had been struck in the head and the other in the chest. Both were rushed to Harboview Medical Center in Seattle.

A nursing supervisor told KIRO 7 over the phone Friday morning that one of those men had died in the emergency room.

Witnesses reported hearing an argument prior to the shooting. While the incident is still under investigation, Seattle police do not believe there are any additional suspects at this time.
