SEATTLE — BECU is warning its members about fraudulent messages and calls asking for card information.
According to officials, the credit union received reports of members getting text messages and phone calls appearing to come from BECU stating that their card has been blocked.
The fraudsters are asking members and non-members to enter their personal information to unblock their card.
BECU said it has not been compromised and the messages and calls are not from the credit union.
If anyone receives the messages, do not respond. Anyone who has received the message and provided personal information is urged to call BECU immediately.
