Bernie Sanders to visit Washington state on Sunday

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, will be traveling to Washington state on Sunday, officials said.

Sanders will hold rallies in Vancouver, Seattle and Spokane.

According to officials, Sanders plans to  discuss a wide range of issues, including college affordability, immigration reform and the need to take on a rigged economy held in place by a corrupt campaign finance system.

Here’s the itinerary:

Doors open at 11 a.m. at Hudson's Bay High School, 1601 E McLoughlin Blvd, in Vancouver. Doors open at 2 p.m. at the Key Arena at Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St, in Seattle. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center, Ballroom 111ABC, 334 West Spokane Falls Blvd., in Spokane. This event is free and open to the public, but <a href="http://sendy.berniesanders.com/l/hpaiNoEMgQgI2qEE1wEHKw/F892uK00892oU8peqXxoFeqSOA/2idnw892ISlKjyTS0HGYvepA">RSVPs</a> are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served. Crowd entrance through the Breezeway lobby between INB Performing Arts Center and Convention Center.

His primary opponent Hillary Clinton confirmed his campaign will hold rallies in Seattle and Everett.

KIRO 7 News reported last week that in Washington state, more campaign contributions have gone to Bernie Sanders than any other candidate, Democratic or Republican.

Sanders has brought in $1,683,241 so far.

"He's doing it the right way, having the people support him, not the Super PACs," said Sanders supporter Lisa Cook.

Sanders came to Seattle over the summer to speak at a social security and medicare rally at Westlake Park. His visit made national headlines when activists took the stage to protest.
