Big names confirmed for U.S. Open at Chambers Bay

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Many of the biggest names in golf are on the list of competitors for the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place.

On June 15, 2015, Chambers Bay will welcome the U.S. Open as it comes to the Pacific Northwest for the very first time in its history.

Renovations are now underway to elevate the course to USGA form.

This week CBS Sports released a full list of PGA golfers attending the U.S. Open along with their perceived odds of taking home the trophy.

A concern with the tournament being at Chambers Bay  for those who live near the course traffic. However, a transportation plan aims to make things easier on residents as well as spectators. During the tournament 300 buses will provide free transportation to Chambers Bay from the state fairgrounds in Puyallup and at Fort Steilacoom Park.
