OLYMPIA, Wash. — A bill approved by the Legislation last week would create a statewide electronic tracking system for rape kits.

Supporters say it will enable rape survivors to keep track of their case.

An estimated 6,000 rape kits have gone untested in the state.

The measure has been sent to Gov. Jay Inslee, and if approved, will make Washington the first state to implement the tracking system.
