Rain showers that have been around today are fading into this evening and we’ll have a mainly dry overnight. With some breaks in the clouds, we could see some of the meteors from the Lyrid Meteor Shower peaking overnight. While meteors from the Lyrid shower could occur this evening into tonight, the best shot at viewing will be between 2 am when the radiant (point from which meteors appear to be coming from) is highest in the sky and 4 am when moonrise occurs. The radiant will be in the southeast sky.
A few morning clouds will give way to afternoon sun on Tuesday with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. It will be a very nice day but not very warm just yet. The average high for today is 60°.
We’ll have winds turning offshore (from land to sea) on Wednesday and Thursday and this combined with solid sunshine will allow temperatures to ramp up too — into the mid 60s in Seattle on Wednesday and the lower 70s on Thursday!
The good weather won’t last however, as more clouds and cooler temperatures will accompany some rain showers Friday into the weekend with highs back close to seasonal averages. The weekend doesn’t look to be a washout, but there will be showers around both days of the weekend.
