Police had to shut down the Jose Rizal Bridge to pull a man to safety late Thursday afternoon.
The rope rescue near I-5 and I-90 caused major traffic, which has since been cleared. The bridge has reopened.
Seattle Fire said the man was a patient, but they have yet to release other details about the incident.
