Bus hits man in downtown Seattle

A pedestrian was hit by a bus Monday afternoon in downtown Seattle, and traffic delays in the area were expected.

The crash happened about 4:10 p.m. near the Walgreens in the 200 block of Pike Street. The 43-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic was delayed along Pike Street. Traffic collision detectives were called to the scene.
The area is known for pedestrian traffic, and the nearby intersection of Third Avenue and Pike Street is one of the city’s most common for pedestrian accidents.
