Cafe Racer shooting survivor checks out of hospital

SEATTLE — The only survivor from the Cafe Racer shooting checked himself out of the hospital Saturday.

Leonard Meuse’s father told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Alison Grande that Meuse was released from Harborview Medical Center.

On Wednesday, Meuse was moved out of intensive care at the hospital and upgraded to satisfactory condition, according to a spokesperson with Harborview Medical Center.

Meuse's father sent KIRO 7 photos of Meuse back at his home.

Police said Ian Stawicki shot five people inside Café Racer in the University District on May 30. Meuse was the only one of the five that survived. After that shooting, Stawicki fatally shot a woman in downtown Seattle, and later shot himself and died that evening.
